City of Bonesteel | Sponsored by the Bonesteel Commercial Club | email@example.com
Bonesteel is located in Gregory County, South Central South Dakota along US Highway 18 and neighbors the majestic Missouri River. Just a ten minute drive to drop your boat in the water!
The community is preparing for a huge celebration, Bonesteel’s 125th birthday! Also known as the city’s Quasquicentennial, or the easier to pronounce, “Q125”. Bonesteel was founded on June 25, 1902.
We sure hope that you will plan to join us during this weekend full of festivities, family, friends, and of course, fun!
Activities begin the evening of Friday, September 15 and run through midday Sunday, the 17th. A few of the events planned include a movie in the park, 5K fun run/walk, inflatables and kids activities, bean bag tournament, soap box derby, side-by-side rodeo, historical displays, time capsule, and community meals.
To top off all of these awesome events, we are very excited to have booked Dustin Evans and the Good Times Band for a street dance on Saturday night, the 16th. This will be Bonesteel’s first street dance in ages, and what a band to celebrate with!
So… have you marked your calendar yet?
The next Bonesteel City Council meeting will be held Monday, February 6 at the Community Room.
